Following Taylor Swift speaking out about Ginny & Georgia’s controversial line about her, one of the show’s leads is speaking her mind about the line.

Antonia Gentry justifies her character, “Ginny” by saying she “makes mistakes.” She continues on Instagram writing, “I never would have imagined something like this as a young girl — that is, having a voice capable of impact…She loves, she lies and she stands up for what she believes in — even though she may not have all of her facts straight. She makes mistakes — morally, mentally, physically, emotionally — and not just within herself, but within the broken world she lives in.”

In the show Ginny tells her mother, “What do you care, you go through men like Taylor Swift,” this brought Taylor to respond calling the joke “lazy” and “deeply sexist,” she has since removed her documentary “Miss America” from the streaming platform.
