Halsey Said Nobody Wants To Be Her Friend

Halsey is very unapologetic when it comes to how she feels about women in the music industry.

It was two years ago when Halsey fired back at, then Grammy president, Neil Portnow who said, “It’s a woman’s responsibility to step up if they want to excel in the music industry.”

“I had a lot to say about that, and I am nowhere to be seen on any of those acknowledgments,” says Halsey. Since her remarks the “Without You” singer has been disappointed by the lack of camaraderie in the female pop space, especially post #MeToo.

“Nobody wants to be my friend. They’re scared I’m gonna pop off about something. I’m drama by association,” says Halsey who has since stopped putting energy into trying to be friends with other stars.
