JAY-Z Calls Minnesota Governor Demanding Justice

JAY-Z spent Sunday night addressing the George Floyd killing on social media. The music mogul was pleased with the announcement from Minnesota governor, Tim Walz, who said Attorney General, Keith Ellison would take over the investigation of George Floyd’s murder.

JAY-Z took to Twitter and announced he had had a “human conversation” with governor Walz and applauded his decision to appoint Ellison to prosecute the murder case.

Ellison will work with Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, who initially brought charges against the police officer that was seen kneeling on Floyd’s neck for over nine minutes in video footage.

“Now I, along with an entire country in pain, call upon AG Ellison to do the right thing and prosecute all those responsible for the murder of George Floyd to the fullest extent of the law,” wrote JAY-Z. “Have the courage to look at us as humans, dads, brothers, sisters, and mothers in pain and look at yourselves,”
