Lady Gaga’s dog walker, Ryan Fischer, sat down for an interview with CBS This Morning’s Gayle King, who questioned Fischer about why Lady Gaga isn’t helping him with his GoFundMe account to get a new van in order to travel the country to find healing.
“She’s helped me so much. She’s been a friend to me, and after I was attacked, my family was flown out and [I] had trauma therapists flown to me. I stayed at her house for months while friends comforted me and security was around me,” said Fischer.
Fischer said Gaga is “very supportive of my journey” and although many may not understand his need to travel, he says his upbringing as a Catholic in the Jesuit faith has taught him that giving up material things and contributing back to society is the best way for him to get past this tragic event and Fischer says Gaga understands that.
Gaga was criticized by some who thought she ought to pay for Fischer’s van, travel, and healing. Fischer was shot while walking Gaga’s three French Bulldogs. King said after her interview with Fischer that he didn’t want Gaga to help him with getting the van or his travel.
