After fans speculated that Ariana Grande’s vocals were featured on Mac Miller’s posthumous album, Circles, Jon Brion who led production for the album says he believes Grande’s vocals are on “I Can See.”
In an interview with The New York Times, Brion says the track was pre-existing and was one that Miller’s family gave him that he was working on, “those vocals were already there. It wasn’t like an executive decision or anything.”
Brion also said that “Circles” was to be the middle album in a trilogy of albums that began with 2018’s “Swimming.” “I believe the third one would have been just a pure hip-hop record. I think he wanted to tell people, ‘I still love this, I still do this,” said Brion.
