McNay Art Museum Announces Temporary Closure

The McNay Art Museum has announced they are closing their doors temporarily to help combat the Coronavirus. This past Friday Mayor Nirenberg announced that gatherings of 250+ are not recommended, but ina ccordance with the CDC this morning he announced that gatherings of 50+ are not permitted.

The official Statement from McNay Art Museum says:

“Due to increasing health concerns, we are taking a precautionary measure to maximize social distancing and minimize the potential spread of COVID-19. Beginning today, March 16, at 5 PM, the Museum and grounds will temporarily close until further notice.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and paying close attention to updates and guidelines issued by health officials. Please check our website, mcnayart.org/visit/health, and social media channels for the latest updates, including our plans to reopen.

We look forward to welcoming our staff and visitors back to the Museum as soon as possible.
