Mi Tierra Turns Into A Temporary Market

A day after the city and state ordered that restaurants suspend dine-in services, Mi Tierra decided to offer more than just food orders to-go.

Fitting the tradition of Historic Market Square, they opened a pop-up grocery market in the Mi Tierra parking lot, where customers had a variety of options to buy from, including milk, eggs, bottled water, rice, and fresh vegetables. They are also selling toilet paper, soap and hand sanitizer to those in need.

“We have product, we have a great supply chain,” said Pete Cortez, who was in charge on the pop-up’s first day.
