San Antonio Sikh community leader, Gurpaul Singh, is rally his community to benefit the SA Food Bank!
The drive aims to help those who really need it. The Sikh community and the two Gurudwaras, or places of worship, here in San Antonio normally help the food bank at all times.
But as the coronavirus pandemic take hold of the city, they decided to set a special goal to raise $75,000 by the end of April. Already, with matching funds, they’ve raised $225,000 and are continuing their fundraising efforts to help the SA Food Bank.
Singh said: “Part of our mandate just through our belief system and our faith is, that everyone should be entitled to food and food security and so it’s a very important central part of our belief system.”
