Taylor Swift has quietly reached a big milestone in her career with her latest album, Folklore. Swift is celebrating her latest album as it took the top spot atop the Billboard chart.
The new accolade brings Swift to her seventh nonconsecutive week at number one, beating out Whitney Houston for the most non-consecutive weeks at number one.
Taylor’s albums have spent 47 weeks at number one beating Whitney’s record of 46, which she held since 1987.
Sending signed CD versions of Folklore to small record stores helped boost Swift as well as performing “Betty” at the CMAs. Taylor gave fans a one-of-a-kind listening experience by releasing chapters of songs from Folklore on social media.
