First of all, let’s applaud our entire city by looking out for each other. We don’t give ourselves enough credit for the great things we do as a community. Everywhere we go in San Antonio, we see folks doing everything they can to continue to social distance, wearing their face coverings and everything that goes with being a responsible, considerate citizen.

Now for the food! A couple of fo popular San Antonio favorites reopened Thursday with limited dine-in services, Hot Joy and Barbaro! They are both currently operating at 25% capacity for the moment. If you love one or both of these restaurants, then it may make more sense for you to order curbside pickup or delivery from these places. If you are set on the dine-in experience a reservation is required, even if it is 15 minutes before you plan on arriving.

With the temps heating up in San Antonio, one of our favorite things is to head out to grab an ice cream cone. One of our fav spots is also reopened. After receiving some “ignorant” and “ugly” comments that threatened the safety of its employees, Kuma San Antonio has reopened and is ready to serve our city! They have two locations, one on Babcock Road and the other inside Shaenfield Ranch Center and the third location on the far Northside at the intersection of Bulverde Road and TPC Parkway.

Finally, during the pandemic, Taco Cabana premiered a brand new sweet treat! The chain introduced it’s Nutella Empanada just before Mother’s Day as a permanent addition to its menu. It’s selling the new treats for $2.99 for two, or $14.99 for one dozen.
