One of the first measures that Gov. Abbott had in place when this outbreak happened was to have drive-thru testing immediately available to Texans. San Antonio was the first city in the country to have drive through testing and more cities across the nation followed soon after. As of right now there are 17 locations across the state of Texas.
In San Antonio the drive‑thru provider is the South Texas Medical Center for both locations. One is their actual medical center at 8431 Fredericksburg Rd. The other location where you can receive a test is at the Freeman Coliseum located at 3201 E. Houston St.
